The Journey So Far...

All of us are quite busy in this era of development and evolution. Everyone wants to lead in the competitive world. But all this time one feels that dearth of deep emotional satisfaction … Some of us find that immense satisfaction in giving something back to the society, spending some time with that less privileged or ignored part of the society .. an immense satisfaction is hidden in the twinkling eyes of those children, kind gestures and affectionate touch of the old, those women whose face shines with a bright smile. All of us with this sacred motive embarked on a social campaign on 26th Feb. All of us filled with so much of excitement started the work with great fervor.

There was no better time than Gudhi Padhwa, the New Year, to take this campaign ahead with the blessings of the senior most part of our society, perplexed with loneliness, ignorance and lack of love in life. Located in the heart of the nature is a beautiful place called Shantivan! Along with many other programs they also run an old age house. Though we strongly believe there should be no old age homes in the society; all that’s in our hands right now was to pay visits and make them feel happy, put smiles on their faces and bring back with us warm, touchy memories and priceless blessings! It was first time for most of us to visit an old age home and was undoubtedly one unforgettable event to everyone! An orchestra playing the songs of their time making them feel reminiscent and nostalgic followed by a diet snacks was the agenda of the visit and it did pay off!

Our campaign was attaining its crescendo. All we wanted now was to do more and more. It takes a small pure thought for one to realize the troubles of people who sleep on pavements whereas we sleep in cozy blankets. Why not we distribute some blankets to them? Just a thought and Morning Blue is all set to implement this serene task. We distributed 500 blankets.

The warm and lovely response to our first ever event kept us motivated to take this campaign ahead with doubled enthusiasm. All of our parents admit us to the best schools in the city and send us to hobby classes after that for personality shaping. But think of those children in orphanages who are deprived from these opportunities. There comes ‘Morning Blue- Helping Hand to Humanity’! We took the privilege to pay visit to the Pratham Shelter and conducted various activities like drawing competitions, skits etc. through which personality development can be achieved. We are also conducting academics tuitions for them on regular basis.
Most of us are blessed with good health and fail to feel the endurance of the unfortunate ones suffering from serious diseases. And imagine the ones wrestling with dangerous diseases are kids! There is one such hospital named St. Jude TATA Memorial Cancer Hospital, Kharghar. We paid a visited there and celebrated the birthday of a friend with them all. And guess what we went there to share their pain but in turn they taught us lessons of life! Their spirit was astonishing.

This journey was getting much more exciting than any one of us had ever imagined and on every turn of this journey unfolded gate of happiness and deep, immense satisfaction. We next visited Aniket Bal Gruha Ashram. We went to back to our childhood and enjoyed guiding them to perform skits by themselves. There was no event that didn’t bring tears of gratitude in our eyes.
While taking this campaign ahead with the spirit earned we all again visited Shantivan. The place where we had started this campaign. It was again as overwhelming as our first visit.

When we look back at this journey & contemplate what have we got? We received emotions..we witnessed happiness..we reached a deeper understanding..felt the love..received what money can't buy..a world made more beautiful!!
